SCMND 2027

Our goal is to host a vibrant, inclusive symposium for networking, outreach and education in the use of stem cells to model neurodegeneration

In 2025, we hosted the first SCMND meeting, where researchers using stem cell models to study the biology and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases found a forum to discuss and compare our work and approaches, and to find new collaborators

Building on our previous success, we aim for the 2027 symposium to be an exploration of the advances and discoveries in the field, and to continue to be an opportunity for the international community to come together, make connections and discuss their work.

We have aimed to put together an agenda that represents the wealth of research in stem cell modelling internationally. In doing so, we have ensured a gender-balanced agenda, with speakers from diverse geographical backgrounds, and provided a platform for early career researchers to share their work and participate in discussion.
